Polynesian paradise really does exist, and I've just arrived.
Your Private Island in Tikehau
Who hasn't dreamed, one day, of living, like Robinson, on a an isolated island paradise ?
The private island or "motu" is located in the south-east of the atoll, accessible only by sea from the lagoon, a 30-minute boat ride from the village. This coast of the island is home to a succession of islets with the most beautiful white and pink coral sand beaches, whose lagoon edges are sheltered from the prevailing winds by coconut groves.
The "motu", part of a group of islets called Fafarua by the ancients, (meaning "the Manta Ray"), covers an area of 6 hectares, planted with a vast coconut grove and some untouched native vegetation. It is bordered by maritime space on all four sides, with a beach bordering the lagoon, an ocean-side face bordered by the reef, and on each side, a channel linking the Pacific Ocean to the lagoon.
Its lagoon
You can enjoy all aspects of natural life in the Tuamotus all day long, whether it's swimming on the large beach reserved entirely for you, long walks on the reef to discover the wonders of the coral reef constructions, stretching over immense spaces as far as the eye can see, or exploring the "hoa" (or channels), veritable natural aquariums.
Its environment
Inside, you'll appreciate the relative coolness of the shaded areas, the typical Tuamotu vegetation and man's efforts to control nature, with the large coconut plantation for copra production, while allowing it to express itself naturally.
Its isolation
Located 20 kilometers from the village, it offers perfect isolation in a postcard landscape.
Because of the atoll's circular shape, it is equidistant from the village, the pass or the beaches of the long motu in the eastern sector. Only a few small boats cross from time to time to reach a fishing spot or a family coconut plantation, without succeeding in breaking the peacefulness of the place.
Motu Fafarua location
It is located to the south-east of the atollaccessible only by sea from lagoon30 minutes away boat of the village. This coast of the island is home to a succession of islets with most beautiful sandy beaches of white and pink coral whose lagoon edges are sheltered from the prevailing winds by coconut plantations.
